So, I read an article (linked from Reddit) about “The Chemist’s War” during America’s national prohibition of alcohol. Looks like no one talks about it much, but the U.S. Government would poison some alcohol in an effort to deter some citizens from drinking it. This lead to more than one thousand deaths rather than mild cases of stomach illness, however, and the man credited with leading an effort to stop Federal poisoning of alcohol was a man named “Charles Norris.”
It is for this reason that I made a graphic of a 1920’s book entitled “How I Roundhouse Kicked Prohibition in the Face.”
