This is pretty self-explanatory, I think. There was extra time, I was bored, so I did something. Here it is.

Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce

Somewhere on Tumblr, yesterday, I saw a picture of the infamous Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce and had to make something related to it. So, here it is.
Not saying it’s great, or anything, but the background looks kinda cool by itself.
Thanks to the Poluglot Vegetarian blog for giving me info on typography.

I Like Your Stiles – Take III

Per request of @PoeGhostal, I have done another version of the “I Like Your Stiles” poster.
Go Teen Wolf!

I Like Your Stiles – Take II

Per request of @PoeGhostal, I have done another version of the “I Like Your Stiles” poster, which will be published in about 30 minutes, but it prompted me to also do a Julia Stiles version.
Enjoy.

I Like Your Stiles

I got the idea for this when I was looking up a source on a graphic I saw and liked. The research tracking lead me to a forum that was full of many different photos, .GIF animations and such. I saw the tagline on someone’s signature and decided I had to make a poster. DONE!
This [...]

High Five Friday

Made this graphic quick and easy-like to go with #HighFiveFriday, the new #FollowFriday a lot of us on Twitter decided to start using.
All in all, it is pretty much the same thing, but #FollowFriday has become jaded and meaningless. Now, we have motivation behind who we recommend for others to check out, plus, it makes [...]

PopSci à la Stéphane Massa-Bidal

Yes, yet another graphic done in the style of Stéphane Massa-Bidal’s retro-futuristic designs.
After I made one for Newsweek, I didn’t want to leave Popular Science out of the fun! PopSci will always be awesome in my eyes because of being, well, scientific and geeky, and because of this guy.

Newsweek – Stéphane Style

I made this to a blanket (and, probably, frivolous) request from Newsweek’s Tumblr blog asking for a Newsweek version of the awesome retro-futuristic covers for nonexistent books based on popular web-based social networks by Stéphane Massa-Bidal. I hope that they like it … or at least look at it :-/
UPDATE: They loved it!

Murder by Gum … and Explosives

I admit that this graphic is kind of morose, but it’s much more toned down than my original concept. What’s it all about? Well, I can’t really sugar-coat it. It’s about a kid chewing on explosive bubble-gum and blowing his jaw off. Here’s where I first published the graphic and the news.

Spinner’s End Graphic

This was done by the request of @MsPixieRiot for her band “Spinner’s End.” She was very specific in the style that she was looking for. She told me that she wanted something that looked like an old “Sorry, We’re Closed” sign and even sent me a few reference pics to work from. It helped a [...]

Downthreat Band Poster

I was approached by members of the band, Downthreat, and asked to create a poster and visual theme for them. They said they wanted something that resembled the general art of “Alice in Chains.” I think this is a close fit.
On the cards I chose Bleeding Cowboys for the font because it seemed to fit, [...]

The Sit Down: Poster #1

A local band asked me to perform with them and I decided to use it as an excuse to try my hand at creating a poster for the event and for the band. It took me a while to decide what I wanted out of this graphic, but I think it’s a nice mix of [...]

Captain SHIELD

So, what if the world was launched into a state of anarchy? What if we all ran to our governments and asked them to protect us? What if we surrendered most of our free will in exchange for safety against anyone out to harm us, Americans? What if this lead to top secret government information [...]

Typing of the Dead

A simple graphic I made for a review post. It was pretty quick and easy, composed of pictures of various hands and groups of people I found floating around the internet. The center piece is from an Evil Dead poster, but I added a keyboard. I wanted to only use red, black and white. I [...]

So, I’m Officially a Published Illustrator

So, today was just any other normal day. I was doing work at my desk, while working on a few side projects at the same time. Every so often, during my days, I see what’s happening in the realm of twitter and other things interweb. Actually, we all know that’s a lie… I’m constantly monitoring [...]

Iron Mouse

This image was made from distorting an Iron Man picture and doing a bit of rendering on top. It’s in recognition of Disney’s purchase of Marvel Entertainment and emphasizes the new and exciting (and sometimes hilarious) ideas of character mash-ups.

Awesomnomics Poster

After making my last Nekropolis poster, a friend of mine requested a poster of his own. This friend is, maybe, 7 years older than me, and yet, was my professor of Economics while I attended GC&SU. Not only is he a great teacher, but a straight-up awesome guy that is so into popular culture that [...]

Nekropolis Poster

This is a photo manipulation where different parts of the picture have been broken down into several different, large pieces and separated by colors. Some elements of this picture are rendered, but most have been modified from the original photo via the poster filter tool.
The style of rendering is pretty easy and not too time [...]

Pool Time

I was going through pictures of my son playing in the pool, this summer, and decided I wanted to make a graphic based around him. Again, I tried to teach myself how to use various brushes (cracks and splashes), lairing, and made my first attempt at light rays. The swimming shorts seem out of place [...]

Indy Moriconi

I made this for Mr. Moriconi after he caught on to my “Put Your Face on My Fist” project.
I used a picture provided of Moriconi and found a photo of Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones. This graphic taught me how to use the “select” option on photoshop’s menu and got me thinking, for the first [...]

Put Your Face On My Fist

I’ve decided after playing around with photoshop for a bit and making a semi-sweet, yet simple graphic that I’m going to forever more allow people to send me their mugshots to insert into this graphic.
So, if you’ve always dreamed of having a soviet-fist styled graphic with your face on it, either send a link to [...]

Dark Forest

This graphic introduced me to the world of brushes in Photoshop. I’m glad I found them. Now, to make sure I use them appropriately…
I tried to render shading in the form of wrinkles on the shirt in this picture using the brush and eraser tools. The pattern on the shirt is static and does not [...]

Aion Character

So, it will be quite some time until Aion is officially released, or until I am able to play it. I still, however, feel motivated to create a graphic with Aion as the theme, even though I won’t be able to take screenshots of my avatar. I used a few different pictures published by NCSoft [...]
